Classroom Dark Mode does not collect, sell or transmit any personal data.

What the extension stores

Two preferences, saved with Chrome's storage.sync API:

• whether dark mode is on or off;
• your accent color (green, blue or orange).

If you're signed in to Chrome with sync turned on, Google's sync service copies these two values to your other devices. Classroom Dark Mode runs no server and has no access to that data beyond reading and writing your own preferences.

What it does not do

• It does not collect personal information.
• It does not track your browsing.
• It does not contact any external server.
• It has no analytics, telemetry or advertising.
• It does not read, change the content of, or send any Google Classroom page. It only changes how pages look.

Permissions

• storage: to remember the two preferences above.
• Access to classroom.google.com: to apply the dark theme on Google Classroom pages, and nowhere else.
